Grace leads business development at Arthur, Darrell & Jing LLC. She manages the firm’s client relationships, builds its referral network, and runs its marketing and events.

She brings a unique commercial perspective to the legal sector, backed by an extensive entrepreneurial background. In 2002 she co-founded ThaiExpress, which opened its first restaurant in Holland Village and had grown into a regional chain by the time the business was sold to Minor International in 2008. In 2014 she came in as a partner in the bakery Little House of Dreams, which later opened a tableware and partyware concept store, Dreams & Confetti, and the following year she took on a Ben & Jerry’s franchise in Singapore.

Two decades of running businesses have given Grace a good sense of what a business owner is worrying about when they reach out to a law firm. Usually it is cost, timing, and whether the person on the other end has understood the problem. Her job is to make sure they are put in touch with the right colleague quickly, with the commercial background already explained. Clients tend to find her easy and comfortable to talk to, which is important in dispute resolution, an inherently stressful situation.
